In Germany we say "Ritterlinge haben einen Burggraben", meaning "ausgebuchtet angewachsen" or "mit Zahn ausgebuchtet angewachsen" = adnexed or notched.
I never read (or saw) Tricholoma + free gills.

Although tricholomas typically have notched or sinuate gills, many will be found with adnexed gills, and some will even appear to be free.
As I said in the other thread, with "real free" gills you can separate cap from stipe easily, otherwise you will see little remnants at the top of the stipe or the material is breaking somehow in an uneven manner.
