T. ustale can be heavily slimy as well (just saw one two weeks ago).
Main difference is, if there is a "hint" of ring zone or not(ustaloides with, ustales without - best to compare some pictures).
Here the zone in question is maybe covered by the rim of the cap.
T. ustaloides more or less bitter taste - growing (mostly ?) with quercus, T. ustales nearly mild, slightly bitter - growing (mostly ? with fagus)
I myself found only T. ustale up to now.

nice clear separated white and brown on stem, but I doubt that is the case on all specimens (depending on age I guess)
